HAND QUILTING
Learn the basics of hand quilting and create a beautiful cushion top or wall hanging.
This workshop is everything you need to know to get started with hand quilting. From preparing and securing your layers, to marking where to stitch, to hand-stitching…all of these fun details with be explained and demonstrated. Participants will have ample time to practice and apply these techniques to their own piece. We will also go over binding and finishing.
Materials: Participants are invited to bring fabric of their choice (lightweight cotton or linen fabrics work well) – or a completed patchwork quilt square – that is roughly 21 x 21 inches.
Takeaway: Participants will leave with a completed, or nearly completed, quilted square to be used as a pillow or cushion cover or a wall hanging. I'll provide instructions for finishing.
